Pecos Wilderness Guided Elk Hunts

September 1 through November 21, 2007

A happy elk hunter
These are truly "old fashioned" horseback hunts for elk in the Pecos Wilderness area. Our comfortable wilderness tent camps are located 6-10 miles into the wilderness. Travel in the wilderness area is limited to foot or horseback and therefore horses are used extensively to travel into and out of camp and while elk hunting. We take a maximum of 4 guided hunters per elk hunt per camp. If your group is more than four, we can work with you on arrangements.

If you miss the deadline to apply, or fail to draw an elk permit, contact us for availability of private landowner permits that enable the hunter to purchase a license.

Included:
  • Two on one guide service.

  • All meals and lodging.

  • All riding and pack horses.
